Due to the relocation of our external warehouse the books and doctoral dissertations stored there, as well as the entire stock of the library's periodicals, will be unavailable until the beginning of January 2025. Many of our books are still available for loan and current literature can be found on the open shelves.

The Library will be closed on the 29th November 2024 due to an university event.

Temporary closure between the 6th of April 2022 and the 25th of April 2022

Due to filming, the ELTE University Library and Archives will be closed between the 6th of April 2022 and the 25th of April 2022.

During the closure, our on-site services will not be available, but our online and remote services remain accessable.

However, after the closure, from the 26th of April 2022, we will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with extended opening hours and guided tours of the the Eötvös Exhibition. All visitors are welcome!
