Ceremonial Hall (Reading Hall)
The current building of the University Library and Archives of the Eötvös Loránd University, built between 1873 and 1876 according to the plans of Antal Skalnitzky, is decorated with frescoes by Károly Lotz. The Mór Than painting depicting Joseph I occupies a worthy place in the 280 m² room, 15 m high, where natural light flows in through the glass roof. The representative monumental venue, which can accommodate 80-100 people, provides the opportunity to hold events, conferences, lectures, book presentations, festive events, and press conferences.
Our smaller reading rooms, the Reference Room, which can accommodate 20-30 people, the Literary Room, which can accommodate up to 14 people, and the circular Journal Reading Room and Public Space can be the venue for smaller and larger trainings and partner meetings.
The imposing, vaulted aula with excellent acoustics provides an ideal opportunity for 50-80 people to hold exclusive events and receptions.
The Boardroom which can accommodate 15-30 people, is suitable for smaller events, book presentations and the exchange of professional experience.
Our training room can accommodate 12 people, this space can be a place for trainings.
