The current building of the University Library and Archives of the Eötvös Loránd University, built between 1873 and 1876 according to the plans of Antal Skalnitzky, is decorated with frescoes by Károly Lotz. The Mór Than painting depicting Joseph I occupies a worthy place in the 280 m² room, 15 m high, where natural light flows in through the glass roof. The representative monumental venue, which can accommodate 80-100 people, provides the opportunity to hold events, conferences, lectures, book presentations, festive events, and press conferences.
