On the occasion of Cultural Heritage Day, on 19 September 2026 at 5.00 pm, clarinettist Zsolt Szigeti and bassoonist Attila Ambrózy will give a concert in the Grand Reading Hall of the ELTE University Library and Archives.
Within the walls of this historic building, which is one and a half centuries old, chamber works for woodwinds will be performed, bringing Ludwig van Beethoven’s melodies to life. All visitors are welcome!
Zsolt Szigeti earned his master’s and artist’s degrees from the Stockholm Academy of Music in 1994 and the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest in 1996. He worked in orchestras for five years in Győr, nine years in Beirut, Lebanon, and then thirteen years in the Sultanate of Oman. He has been teaching in Visegrád since December 2022, where he became the director of the music school in January 2024. Since February 2023, he has also been teaching in Pestszentlőrinc.
Attila Ambrózy gained his bassoon performance and teaching degree from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in 1995. Between 1995 and 2003, he worked as a teacher at the Kálmán Nádasdy School of the Arts; since September 2003, he has been a teacher at the Ernő Dohnányi Music School in the 18th district. He has served as deputy director since 2016 and as an expert in teacher certification since 2019. From 1999 to 2018, he was a member of the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra; he currently performs with the ELTE Eötvös Arts Ensemble, the Monarchia Symphony Orchestra, and the Wiener Mozart Orchester. As a chamber musician, he regularly performs in various ensembles (wind quintet, trio, duo) ; he and his colleague Zsolt Szigeti regularly perform together at events organised by the Music School. He has been a member of the Mensa HungarIQa association since July 2017 and has been an evening division student at the Buddhist College Gate of Knowledge since September 2026.
